Chemistry Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (CHEM SURE) provides summer research funding as well as professional development workshops focused on improving students’ written and oral presentation skills.

CHEM SURE offers students the opportunity to focus full-time on their independent research project over a 10-week period, without the distractions of typical semester coursework. During the time period of the program students can focus solely on experimental design, execution, and data analysis, accelerating both their projects and their professional growth.

The program is balanced with activities featuring workshops and structured practice sessions dedicated to honing effective scientific communication and polished oral presentation skills, ensuring every participant is prepared to confidently share their research findings with the broader scientific community.

The program is open to NC State Chemistry students only.
