Safety

In the Department of Chemistry, we strive to encourage and develop a culture of safety that helps to ensure a safe working environment for everybody. We aim to achieve this by ensuring that all have the training, information, support, and equipment needed to work safely in the laboratory. Our strategy to achieve this includes leveraging the combined efforts of the Departmental Safety Committee, Safety Officers representing each research group, and the university’s office of Environmental Health & Safety.
