SA-ACS, a Professional Chemistry Undergraduate Student Chapter at NC State

The Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society (SA-ACS) at NC State is a professional undergraduate student chapter within a global scientific society that aims to build leadership and career opportunities through professional development, community engagement, and science-based activities.

SA-ACS at NC State is open to all undergraduate students with a passion for science who are looking for a community to expand their networking opportunities and access to professional resources.
Our chapter attends national conferences and institutes with the American Chemical Society, participates in programs with student chapters from around the world, volunteers at community events, and hosts events to demonstrate both the professional and fun aspects of chemistry. Our favorite community event, the Eno River Festival, happens every summer to raise money for the Eno River.

Students can volunteer to lead fun experiments that engage people of all ages in the sciences! If you are interested in joining SA-ACS, you can contact our Faculty Advisor, Dr. Kirsten Kramer, or any member of our Executive Board through the Get Involved Page. You can also message us on Instagram @acs_ncstate. Membership is free with the student chapter.
