Bio:
Dr. Damian Young is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Education:
- BS from Howard University, District of Columbia
- PhD from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina
- Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard University and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT Cambridge, Massachusetts
Research:
The Young lab research focuses on the development of chemical pathways leading to molecule that can be used to probe fundamental and disease-associated biology. His lab is pioneering new chemical and biophysical methodologies related to fragment-based drug discovery to be deployed against challenging targets in cancer. The Young Lab in interested in the following research areas:
