Why did you choose chemistry as your field of study?

It’s amazing to me that chemistry principles can explain so much about why the world is the way it is and how small changes in chemistry of certain substances can have huge impacts on real-world properties. I had some great chemistry teachers and professors in high school and undergrad who helped show me this. Also, the periodic table is really cool.
