Questions & Answers
Why did you choose chemistry as a field of study?
I liked studying matter at the molecular scale and really enjoyed the mathematical slant of physical chemistry. Molecular modeling was very interesting, starting with my undergraduate honors thesis in this area.
What interests do you have outside of chemistry?
I advise Alpha Chi Sigma chemistry fraternity and I hold an elected office in the American Chemical Society, so I can help students find ways to get involved with either. I also enjoy swimming, traveling, theology, walking my cat (yes, the cat walks on a leash) and dog.
