Amanda Josey, Global Product Management, BASF

Dr. Amanda Josey has a passion for bringing science and business together. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at UNC-Charlotte in 2003, and her Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from NC State in 2008. In the same year, she joined BASF has taken on a variety of roles in R&D, business development, innovation and marketing. Her work has also had a global focus, including 4 years in Germany. Currently, Dr Josey is responsible for global product management of BASF’s Mobile Emissions business where she focuses on cleaning the world’s air by managing the portfolio of automotive catalyst coatings and a team around the world. Dr. Josey is married to Chad, also an NC State alumnus of the Engineering school. They enjoy traveling and have thus far visited 63 (and counting) countries. In her talk, she will share her experiences at NC State and how her time there helped prepare her for the challenges of global business management.
