Award-winning graduate student, Quibria Guthrie
We proudly announce that Quibria Guthrie, a chemistry graduate student member of the Proulx Lab, has received the student award in Chemistry at the NOBCChE 2020 National Conference. In addition to the award she received from NOBCChE, she is also receiving an award from the American Chemical Society consisting of up to $1500 to attend National Conferences and/or professional development courses.
Quibria Guthrie was born and grew up in Milwaukee, WI. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and obtained a B.S. in Chemistry in December 2015, with a focus on Biochemistry and a minor in Anthropology. She started her graduate studies at North Carolina State University in fall 2016. When she’s not in the lab, Quibria enjoys shopping, swimming and sleeping.
