The article “Aligning Chemical Education with Industry Needs: Key Insights from a ChemEd Summit” has now been published and selected as the cover art for the Journal of Chemical Education, Volume 102, Issue 1, dated January 14, 2025.
This article describes a successful one-day ChemEd Summit that brought together various stakeholders (academia, industry, government, nonprofits) to address the crucial issue of preparing chemical sciences graduates for the workforce.
It demonstrates a valuable approach for bridging the gap between academia and industry. This model has the potential to be replicated by other academic institutions to improve the quality of education and better prepare their graduates for successful careers in the chemical sciences and beyond.
